Manchester United and Chelsea may not be squaring up over the Premier League title this season, however, when it comes to summer business we can expect them to be pitted against each other time and again.

With the domestic season drawing closer to it’s summit, transfer talk is starting to take over the back pages once more with both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho looking to bolster their ranks ahead of hopeful returns to the Champions League, for Chelsea it is a dead cert, whilst United are closer than many would have expected a few months ago.

According to reports from Italy (via Sport Witness) the English giants are both taking a look at Inter Milan left-winger Ivan Perisic, and are currently both leading the way in terms of any summer deal.

With Blues star Eden Hazard reportedly having agreed a deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid for next season, the Croatian could well be a replacement at Stamford Bridge.

However, one sticking point for both managers could well be the price. Inter value their 28-year-old, who has scored 10 Serie A goals this season, at €60m which although affordable is a price reserved for marquee signings.
