West Ham United have reportedly slapped an £18m price tag on England youth international, plus Manchester United and Manchester City target, Reece Oxford, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who visit Chelsea in their opening 2016/17 English top-flight fixture on August 15, are destined to lose the highly-rated defender after a contractual stand-off with the youngster.

The 17-year-old, who has featured four times for England’s Under-19 squad, made 12 first-team appearances for Slaven Bilic’s side in all competitions last season.

Oxford, who has two years remaining on his current deal at the Olympic Stadium, was part of the England Under-19 squad that made it to the semi-finals of the European Championships on Thursday – before being knocked out by Italy.

The report suggests that Manchester rivals – United and City – are both keen on luring the centre-half away from London this summer after hearing he has failed to agree terms to sign a new deal at the Olympic Stadium.

West Ham have already rejected a £10m bid from Bundesliga club Red Bull Leipzig for Oxford earlier this transfer window.
