Manchester United are closing in on a world-record £112 million move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to the Sun.

In one of the longest transfer sagas of the summer, it is understood that the Red Devils have now offered Juve £92 million for the France international, which is expected to be accepted, but they will also have to pay £20 million to his agent, Mino Raiola, as part of the deal.

Real Madrid were also interested but look likely to be priced out of a move for the 23-year-old, with their attentions turning to £30 million-rated Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko instead.

Pogba left Old Trafford for Turin in 2012 for a fee of around £800,000 and was a runner-up at the 2016 European Championship finals earlier this month, where the hosts were beaten 1-0 by Portugal.

He would become Jose Mourinho’s fourth signing of the summer at Old Trafford, following Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly to the club.
