Manchester United have completed the long-awaited signing of free agent striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a one-year deal.

The 34-year-old left Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season following the expiry of his contract, and the attacker will now link up with new Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho for the second time in his career, with the duo also working together at Inter Milan.

The Sweden international appeared at this summer’s European Championships in France, but retired from international football after his nation was eliminated in the group stages.

He has scored 392 goals in 677 career matches and has won a title in every season since 2001, including the Ligue 1 trophy last term, in a year in which the Swede scored 50 goals in all competitions.

Ibrahimovic is United’s second addition of the summer, following in the footsteps of Villarreal defender Eric Bailly, who joined the club for £30million last month.
