Manchester United will entertain Ukrainian side Zorya on Thursday night, knowing that three points are a must having fallen to defeat in Rotterdam in the opening game of Group A against Feyenoord last time out.

In contrast, the Ukrainian side were seconds away from taking all three points when they entertained Turkish giants Fenerbahce a fortnight ago, only for Simon Kjaer to equalise with the last kick of the game.

Having gotten back to winning ways against Leicester City at the weekend, Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho will likely continue with his policy of rotation for Europe, but will be very aware that failure to win would mean United will likely needing to take six points from their upcoming games against Fenerbahce, with former striker Robin van Persie leading the line.

There are plenty of fringe players who will be looking to prove a point tonight, none more so than captain Wayne Rooney.

Team News:

Marcus Rashford will again likely feature from the start, replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whilst Rooney may well be given the chance to justify his place in the team having been left out against Leicester.

Question marks remain over the fitness of Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw, with decisions likely to be made closer to kick-off.

Zorya have no major fitness concerns going in to Thursday evening’s game.
