Nathaniel Clyne is one of the Championship’s most highly coveted players, and it’s not difficult to see why.

A pacey full-back who loves to bomb down the flanks, comparisons with Ashley Cole aren’t wide of the mark – though Clyne plays down the right.

Since making his first-team debut in 2008, the academy graduate has been named as Crystal Palace’s Young Player of the Year for each of his seasons as a professional.

Palace, however, know that Clyne is destined for the very top and rejected a £1.25m bid from Birmingham this month. Clyne himself refused to even discuss terms with Wolves in January.

With widespread interest, it is only a matter of time before Clyne arrives in the Premier League.
