Arsenal in loan move

Arsenal are set to take a defender on loan after losing four of their regular full backs.

Boss Arsene Wenger says is it very "likely" that he will move to bring in loan cover having lost Bacary Sagna, Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs and Andre Santos to injury.

But he has suggested that it is unlikely there will be other arrivals at the Emirates Stadium, despite the Gunners being linked with a number of big name stars from Europe.

Out of favour Manchester City and former England left-back Wayne Bridge is one player that has been linked with Arsenal although a move would probably only happen if he agreed a wage cut. Bridge was also unconvincing last season during a loan to West Ham.

Sunderland's Keiran Richardson and AC Milan's Taye Taiwo (pictured) have also been linked to Wenger's side.
