Arsenal star out for season
Tuesday, 07/02/2012
Emanuel Frimpong is out for the rest of the season.
The Arsenal midfielder, on loan to Wolves, was injured in the victory at QPR last weekend.
Frimpong, 20, is expected to undergo surgery on an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The youngster had made a big impression during his appearances for the Gunners this campaign and earned a loan move to Wolves for the rest of the season to give him more big match experience.
He could be back for the start of next season but it is likely to be a few games into 2012-13 before he can return to action.
Ghana-born Frimpong, who has appeared for England Under-16 and 17s, was making his fifth appearance for Wolves when he got injured.
