Canaries transfer swoop

Norwich City are studying a list of January transfer targets.

Canaries boss Paul Lambert has told his board the players he would like at Carrow Road as he tries to build on his side's solid start to the season.

Promoted City are currently the highest flyers of the Premier League new boys but have struggled to keep clean sheets.

"It is hard during the January window because nobody wants to sell their better players and price inflation goes really high," admitted Lambert.

But the gaffer's first task is to secure the club's top-flight status are two successive promotions took them to the Premier League.

"Everyone before the season thought we would be bottom by now and it has not happened, so we will keep striving to stay in the league," he added.
