Crouch’s fears

Wednesday, 12/10/2011

Peter Crouch has admitted that his England days might be over.

But the Stoke City striker, who has better than a goal every other game at international level, says he won't give up on getting a Three Lions call.

It is now almost a year since the former Tottenham man got a call from Fabio Capello and he admits:"I've felt like I've always done well for England and I feel like I've been doing well for Stoke, so of course it's disappointing.

"I go into each game with Stoke to play as well as I can and if the England call comes, that would be fantastic."

Crouch has scored 22 goals in 42 England games but has not played for his country since November last year
