De Gea at United

Spain keeper David de Gea is undergoing a medical at Manchester United before a possible £18m transfer.

The Atletico Madrid shot-stopper has been selected as the replacement for Holland veteran Edwin van der Sar who retired at the end of last season.

De Gea, 20, has just won the European Under-21 Championships with his country.

He is expected to join fellow new signings Phil Jones and Ashley Young for pre-season training, but may be given an extra break because of his international committments.
