Wednesday, 19/05/2010
Everton midfielder Tim Cahill has agreed a contract to 2014 - ending speculation that he would leave Goodison Park.
The battling Aussie has been a key player for the Toffees and is a major fans' favourite.
Although he had a deal for two more years there had been reports that he might be tempted to move. He has now ended that speculation by agreeing the new deal and saying he wants to stay for the rest of his career. Cahill will be 34 when his new contract runs out.
Everton are being linked with a move for Manchester City winger Martin Petrov and Ajax central-defender Jan Vertonghen
