Everton star agrees new deal

Everton fans have received a major boost with news that Marouane Fellaini has agreed a new five-year deal.

The midfielder has been subject of transfer rumours for months but the new contract extends his stay at Goodison Park until 2016.

Belgian international Fellaini arrived at Everton from Standard Liege in 2008 and has become an important member of their squad and a firm fans' favourite.

Fellaini, 24 next week, cost a club record £15m - also the highest fee paid for a Belgian player.

He had attracted interest from both Manchester sides, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Bayern Munich.
