Everton star’s Dutch wish

Everton star’s Dutch wish

Royston Drenthe wants to return to Holland within three years.

The Real Madrid midfielder, on loan to Everton for the season, says he wants to go back to former club Feyenoord.

The 24-year-old has become a hit with fans since his move to Goodison Park – and they had hoped that he might sign permanently as his contract in Spain runs out this coming summer.

But the fact the Dutchman has pinpointed 2015 as the latest he wants to go back to his homeland will give Toffees supporters hope they may be able to land him next campaign at least.

Drenthe has scored two goals in 14 games for the Merseysiders but it is his all round play that has left fans on the edge of their seats.

Everton boss David Moyes has already admitted that he hopes the Dutchman can prove himself worthy of a deal as he would land the star on a free.

"Royston has done okay. He's had some moments that have helped us and some moments that have worried us," admitted Moyes.
