Huddlestone season over

Tom Huddlestone's season is over - with the Tottenham midfielder set to undergo an operation on Friday.

He has appeared in just two Premier League and Europa games at the start of this campaign before being ruled out with ligament damage.

The 25-year-old, who would have hoped to have an outside chance of making England's Euro 2012 squad, admits that he now has to look at pre-season for his next appearances.

Former Derby County player Huddlestone has already had one operation on the problem but a specialist decided he needs more work on the ankle.
