Krul boost for Newcastle

Keeper Tim Krul has given Newcastle a massive boost by saying he wants to stay at the club.

"I want to stay at this club for a long, long time," admitted the Holland shot-stopper.

The 23-year-old has been a revelation since taking over the No.1 shirt for the Toon this season.

He has been praised in all circles for his amazing performances that have helped the Geordies to a great start to the campaign.

Krul, under contract to 2014, has been linked with a move away from St. James' Park after being rated as one of the top five keepers in the Premier League.

But the declaration that he wants to stay and support boss Alan Pardew is anothe massive boost for the club.

Krul has kept former No.1 Steve Harper out of the side and is now aiming for a place in the Holland squad for the finals of Euro 2012.
