Onuoha joins QPR
Thursday, 26/01/2012
Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha has rejoined former boss Mark Hughes at QPR.
The former England Under-21 player admitted that he agreed a four and a half year deal at Loftus Road because of his past relationship with Hughes.
Onuoha, frozen out at City, said: "The manager obviously played a massive factor in my decision to come here. I've worked with him before and he always wants players around him who are open and honest."
The 25-year-old, who was on loan at Sunderland last season, is joined in West London by defender Taye Taiwo who arrives at Rangers on loan from AC Milan.
No official figure has been given for the transfer but QPR are thought to have paid just under £3m for Onuoha who can operate at full back or in the centre of defence.
