Parker tug of war

England midfielder Scott Parker could be at the centre of a tug of war between Chelsea and Aston Villa.

The West Ham star's future at Upton Park is in question following relegation and the player wants to stay in the Premier League to enhance his international hopes.

Parker fancies staying in London and a loan return to his former club would appeal - although it is believed there have been no concrete offers yet from Stamford Bridge.

West Ham would demand a loan fee and that the player's wages are paid.

Villa have money to spend following the summer departure of Ashley Young to Man United and the pending move of Stewart Downing to Liverpool and would offer cash for Parker.

The Villans are also believed to have made a £10m bid for Wigan's France winger Charles N'Zogbia.
