Spurs miss out

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that he missed out on landing Milos Krasic during the January transfer window.

The Juventus and Serbia winger was wanted on loan but the player said he wanted a permanent move.

And Redknapp claimed that the price tag was too rich for title-chasing Spurs.

“I was going to take Krasic on loan." said Redknapp. "I was interested in buying him a year ago, too, but he was expensive at £15m.”

Krasic, 27, cost Juventus £12.4m from CSKA Moscow in 2010 and was set to offer cover for Steven Pienaar who has returned to Everton on loan.
