United star’s new deal
Tuesday, 09/02/2010
Manchester United’s veteran keeper Edwin van der Sar looks set to stay another season at Old Trafford.
There were fears that Sir Alex Ferguson’s No.1 would call it a day with the champions because of his wife’s pre-Christmas illness.
But the Dutchman - who will be 40 in October - now appears set to agree a new 12-month contract which is also likely to see him get a pay rise.
The future is not so bright for England keeper Ben Foster with reports that the shot-stopper could be sold in the summer because of his injury problems and failure to break through at United.
