Wolves record buy
Friday, 04/06/2010
Wolves equalled their record transfer fee when they splashed £6.5m for Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.
The cash is the same sum they paid to land striker Kevin Doyle from Reading.
Fletcher, 24, arrives after just one season with relegated Burnley. His former club Hibs could pocket around £1m of the fee as part of a sell-on clause.
The player, who hit eight Premier League goals last term, has agreed a four-year deal at Molineux.
Wolves chief exec Jez Moxey said: "He is an excellent player and already boasts plenty experience at the top level in England and Scotland."
Wolves captain Jody Craddock has agreed a new one-year deal with the club.
