Wednesday, 29/06/2011
New Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton has made his first signing – bringing in striker Adam Rooney.
The 23-year-old was out of contract at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and has agreed a two-year deal at St. Andrews.
Rooney has had spells with Stoke City, Bury, Yeovil and Chesterfield.
The Dublin-born frontman has scored 44 goals in 103 league games for ICT and was the Scottish First Division's top scorer in 2009-10 with 24 goals, 26 in total. Last season he hit 21 goals, 15 in the SPL.
Three new players had signed before Hughton arrived: Morgaro Gomis, Chris Burke and Marlon King.
