Jay Bothroyd has been named October nPower Championship Player of the Month award.

The livewire striker enjoyed a scintillating run of form in October scoring five goals, including a fine double against Leeds United at Elland Road and a late winner against Coventry City. He is now the Championship's leading scorer with ten goals..

Football League Player of the Month panelist Peter Beagrie saidd : "Another tremendous month as regards to goals scored and all round play from Jay. He seems to have found a club and a manager to bring out the very best of his ability."
