Bowyer set for Ipswich

Veteran midfielder Lee Bowyer is set to join Ipswich on a free transfer.

The former Charlton, Leeds, West Ham and Newcastle star was released by relegated Birmingham City at the end of the campaign.

Bowyer, 34, who helped win the League Cup last term, had been expected to get a new deal at St. Andrews after a great season.

He had been linked with a return to Leeds United but the Tractor Boys are set to land the experienced player who has been abroad on a fishing holiday.
