Boyd for Boro

Rangers striker Kris Boyd is the latest Scotsman to join Gordon Strachan at Middlesbrough.

The 26-year-old, the Scottish Premier League’s all-time top scorer, has agreed a two-year deal at the Riverside.

Scotland star Boyd had been looked at by a number of clubs but had expressed his desire to stay in Britain. He arrives on a free and joins the likes of Barry Robson, Scott McDonald and Lee Miller, who also arrived from Scotland.

Boro are also trying to land Celtic defender Stephen McManus for just under £2m.
