Cardiff have received a major boost on the eve of the League Cup Final with news that three stars are set to return.

Tom Heaton, Stephen McPhail and Mark Hudson could all be back for the showpiece against Liverpool.

Keeper Heaton has been out three games with an ankle injury but has now trained.

Midfielder McPhail is also back in training after illness whilst skipper and defender Hudson is also believed to be fit enough to return from a calf strain.

Meanwhile, Cardiff-born Craig Bellamy, who was on loan at the club last season, says he will not celebrate if he scores against the Bluebirds this weekend.
