Cardiff striker blow

Cardiff City's promotion hopes have been hit by an injury to star striker Michael Chopra.

Their former Newcastle and Sunderland hitman has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

The £4m 27-year-old was injured in the draw with Barnsley at the weekend and scans have now showed he will be out of action until past the end of this campaign.

Chopra notched up his 200th League start in the match but has admitted that his season is over for the Bluebirds who currently lie fourth in the Championship.
