Foxes sign Man United midfielder

Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater has signed for Leicester City.

The 21-year-old is believed to have agreed a three and a half year deal.

Manchester-born Drinkwater, an England Under-21 player, has had loan spells with Huddersfield, Cardiff, Watford and Barnsley.

He was due to stay with Barnsley until the end of the season until the Foxes stepped in with their offer.

Drinkwater has been on the fringes of the Old Trafford first-team but has not made his full debut for the side.

The tough tackler's route to the first 11 has been blocked by an inlux of buys and other players being promoted from the Red Devils' reserves, although he is highly rated by the backroom staff.
