Jewell for Ipswich
Monday, 10/01/2011
Former Wigan manager Paul Jewell has moved into the Ipswich Town hotseat - as Shoot predicted he would last week!
The Sky Sports pundit has been out of management for two years since leaving Derby and takes over from Roy Keane, who was sacked last week.
Jewell, 46, who led both Wigan and Bradford City to the Premier League, has agreed a two and a half year deal.
He said he won't be in charge for the League Cup semi-final against Arsenal but will take over fully on Thursday.
Jewell said he had a good knowledge of the players at Portman Road but refused to be drawn on any January transfers.
