QPR fail in striker bid

Promoted QPR have failed in a reported £2.5m bid for Watford's Danny Graham.

The Championship's top scorer was wanted to lead The Hoops first season back in the Premier League.

But the Hornets have said no to losing their 24-goal hitman - although they may face a bigger bid.

It is also undestood that Watford have rejected moves from a number of clubs for former Rochdale winger Danny Buckley.

Graham, who recently said he wanted to play in the top-flight, has been offered a new contract.
