QPR get a boost

Adel Taarabt no doubt put a smile on the face of many QPR fans by insisting he will stay at Loftus Road - as long as Neil Warnock remains boss.

The Championship Player of the Year has been linked with moves to Newcastle United and Premier League leaders Manchester United this season.

But the mercurial Moroccan is happy in west London under Warnock.

"I want to help take this club to the Premier League," he said. "I want to stay at QPR and play for Neil Warnock. I think as long as he is here I will be here too."

With Warnock himself saying he is likely to be with the R's for another two years, it is highly likely that Taarabt will be once again plying his trade at Loftus Road for awhile, especially if the Hoops reach the Premier League.
