QPR’s new striker

QPR - expected to announce new owners this week - have signed Plymouth striker Jamie Mackie.

He is boss Neil Warnock's first signing and the cost of the transfer has not been revealed - although he joined Argyle from Exter for almost £150,000 in 2008.

Mackie is not a prolific marksman but Warnock believes the 24-year-old is an outstanding prospect and has handed him a four-year deal.

Rangers could announce this week that an Arab businessman will take over a majority share in the club.
