Striker fancies West Ham

Ranger striker Nikica Jelavic would be happy to join West Ham.

The Croatia star has been linked to a number of clubs south of the border and admits he wouldn't mind joining the Hammers promotion push.

The Championship leaders have asked about the former Hadjuk Split and Rapid Vienna hitman who has scored 42 goals in 67 games since joining the Glasgow giants in 2010.

Liverpool, West Brom and QPR have also been linked to the striker.

Jelavic, 26, said: "It would be nice to play there, but I am playing at a big club so it wouldn't bother me if I had to stay."

Rangers turned down a £6.5m Leicester City offer for Jelavic last summer and are thought to want around £8m for the player.

But they appear to have accepted their frontman could be leaving having given a trial to Bosnia striker Zlatan Muslimovic, who is a free agent.
