Sven’s a Fox
Saturday, 02/10/2010
Sven Goran Eriksson is set to become the new boss of Leicester City on Monday.
The former England manger will become the Foxes 15th manager since 2004 and takes over from Paulo Sousa.
Ex-Swansea chief Sousa was sacked after just nine games in charge having moved to the Walkers in the summer. There was disappointment at how the season had started and reports of unrest among players.
Eriksson, 62, returns to English football - where he has already bossed Manchester City and Notts County - after a summer spent at the World Cup with Ivory Coast.
He had been expected to join Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal but is believed to have turned them down in favour of Leicester. City had hoped to get former manager Martin O'Neill to return but it is understood the former Villa gaffer wants to return to the Premier League.
