Sven’s Beckham hope
Wednesday, 05/10/2011
Leicester have not given up hope of luring former England captain David Beckham to the King Power Stadium.
Foxes manager Sven Goran Eriksson admits: "I spoke to him about Leicester. Beckham, he will never say no to me - he says, 'Sven, we'll see, we'll see'."
The midfielder had a great working relationship with Eriksson during his time as England boss.
And Beckham will have to make a decision about his future next month when his playing contract ends with LA Galaxy.
The Americans have offered him a new one-year deal but a number of clubs, including QPR, Tottenham and Paris Saint Germain have expressed an interest in the player.
Eriksson, with money to spend at big-thinking Leicester, might try to lure Beckham with a player-coach role as the former Man United man has said he is interested in management.
The chance to play and learn alongside the former England boss could be a big draw.
