Warnock set for Leeds
Saturday, 18/02/2012
Leeds United have name dNeil Warnock as their new manager.
The former Sheffield United gaffer, sacked recently by QPR, yesterday held talks with chariman Ken Bates and chief exec Shaun Harvey.
Warnock, 63, has got both of those previous clubs promoted from the Championship to the Premier League.
He was also been linked to the vacant posts at Wolves and Huddersfield – which has prompted Leeds to move fast.
Warnock has seven promotions to his credit. The most number by one manager is eight, set by Dave Bassett.
"I want one for the record. I’ve had some interesting calls," Warnock admitted earlier in the week.
Leeds have slipped out of promotion form recently which led to the sacking earlier this month of boss Simon Grayson.
