Chestefield's Craig Davies is the October nPower League 2 Player of the Month.

Davies enjoyed a prolific October scoring four times, including a match-winning double against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park. The powerful striker's goals have been key to the Spireites rise to the top of the table.

Peter Beagrie, member of the npower Football League Player of the Month panel commented: "Craig has certainly had a blistering start to the season. He has the pace and athleticism to play at a higher level and a penchant for the spectacular as his several goals from distance have proven."

Davies saw off competition from Macclesfield Town midfielder Hamza Bencherif, Wycombe Wanderers' Kevin Betsy and Bury midfielder Steven Schumacher.
