Exeter City want to play Brazil!

The struggling League One outfit are hoping the Samba boys want to visit their St. James Park as part of their country's centenary.

And two City directors have flown out for meetings with Brazilian FA officials, TV companies and other interested parties to try and pull off the coup.

Exeter played Brazil in their first-ever game in 1914 during a tour of South America.

They clashed again in 2004 when the club celebrated their own centenary in Devon.

Exeter chairman Edward Chorlton said: "Whilst we have no guarantees that we can deliver a repeat of that amazing first game, we owe it to ourselves, the club and its supporters to explore ways in which this important centenary for both Brazil and for Exeter City can be celebrated."

The club, owned by its own supporters trust, has a capacity of 8,500 at its city centre ground.
