Wycombe stayed third after impressively beating already promoted Bury 3-1 at Gigg Lane and they remain a point ahead of the other team in contention Shrewsbury, who kept up the pressure as they won 1-0 away at Cheltenham.
Accrington sealed their play-off place with a 3-1 victory over Barnet, who now must beat Port Vale next week and hope that Lincoln fail to beat Aldershot if they are to survive.
Northampton sealed their safety with their first win since February as they beat Stevenage 2-0 and Hereford joined them as they drew 1-1 at home to Bradford.
Gillingham dropped out of the play-off places on goal difference after their 4-2 home defeat against Macclesfield and now one from them, Borough and Torquay, who drew 0-0 against leaders Chesterfield on Friday night, will miss out.
