Oldham’s new boss

Former Scotland striker Paul Dickov is the new boss of Oldham Athletic.

The side which just avoided relegation from League One last season have appointed the ex-Manchester City and Leicester forward on a 12-month rolling deal.

It is Dickov's first role in management and he will continue playing. He turned out last season for Leeds.

He said: "I am not going to pretend it will be easy. I am going to make mistakes but sometimes you learn from making mistakes."
