Striker’s new deal

Veteran striker Lee Hughes has agreed a new 18 month contract with Notts County.

The 35-year-old, who arrived on a free from Oldham two years ago, has hit six goals in 12 games so far this term.

During his time at Meadow Lane he has also become a firm fans' favourite and pledged to end his career with the club.

The former West Brom and Coventry hit-man has scored at a ratio of better than one every other game since arriving in Nottingham.
