Tranmere land Nigeria striker
Tuesday, 27/07/2010
Tranmere have landed former Leeds striker Enoch Showunmi, who was available on a free transfer after being released by Falkirk.
The two-cap Nigeria forward only joined the Scottish outfit in January but was released after the club's relegation - having scored just once during his time north of the border.
Showunmi had been at Leeds for the previous 18 months, but could only make 15 appearances as he was frozen out at Elland Road.
He started his career as a late bloomer - joining Luton Town aged 21 after completing a Business Studies degree.
Showunmi becomes the fourth player to arrive at Prenton Park (pictured), following goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen, Tim Cathalina and West Brom midfielder Joss Labadie.
