McClaren returns to Twente
Friday, 06/01/2012
Dutch side Twente have confirmed that former England boss Steve McClaren has returned to the club.
The ex-Middlesbrough gaffer led Twente to the Erevidise title before leaving for Wolfsburg in 2010.
He was sacked by the Germans and returned to England last summer to take over as boss of Nottingham Forest.
But McClaren, 50, was unable to turn around the fortunes at the City Ground and resigned last October after just four months in charge.
"I left on a high with the title. I said at that time that I would be back," said McClaren.
Twente said in a statement: "McClaren will return to FC Twente in the position of coach/manager of technical affairs."
