Yaya Toure is thye African Player of the Year.

The Manchester City midfielder beat Mali's Seydou Keita and Ghana's Andre Ayew to the title.

Ivory Coast star Toure, 28, was chosen by coaches of national teams in Africa.

"This is the highest prize I can get in my career," he admitted.

"I am very happy and very proud - it's unbelievable, it's amazing. It's a first step in my big career," added the former Barcelona man.
