£18,000 fight fine
Thursday, 10/03/2011
Macclesfield and Wycombe have been fined £9,000 each for a brawl between their players last month.
The FA have found both clubs guilty of failing to control their players and officials and stopping them from behaving in a provocative or violent manner.
The incident happened during injury time in the League Two match in February when Macclesfield's Ricky Sappleton appeared to kick Wanderers' Stuart Lewis.
Other players entered the fray which led to Sappleton and Emile Sinclair being red-carded, along with Wycombe's David Winfield.
Macclesfield have already fined all their players, manager and assistant manager. The clubs can appeal.
