All change at QPR
Thursday, 18/08/2011
QPR have announced a new owner - and there are reports of a bid for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker!
Rangers have been taken over by Malaysian airline tycoon Tony Fernandes.
He has reportedly offered £4m for England star Parker, who is valued at twice that amount by the Hammers. They could reach a compromise on the deal.
Parker, who is happy at Upton Park, knows that a return to the Premier League would boost his international hopes. QPR would also allow him to stay in the capital, something else he favours.
Fernandes, the AirAsia boss who has also been linked to takeovers at West Ham and Norwich in the past, has taken a majority stake in the Loftus Road club, including shares from Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, the majority owner of QPR for the past five years.

I’d be as surprised to see Parker go to QPR as I would if he stayed at QPR. He seems destined for deadline day move to Spurs after they have moved a few players on.
