Anelka off to China
Monday, 12/12/2011
Nicolas Anelka has agreed a two-year deal with Shanghai Shenua of China.
The 32-year-old Chelsea striker will move in January after being granted a free transfer by the Blues.
Anelka has found himself a regular on the Stamford Bridge bench under new boss Andre Villas-Boas and his contract was due to expire next summer.
He joined Chelsea from Bolton in a £15m move almost three years ago and has hit 59 goals in 185 games.
Anelka has also played for Arsenal, Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man City and Fenerbahce.
He scored 14 goals in 69 games for France before quitting international football last year, just as he was handed an 18-game ban following a dispute over training at the World Cup finals in South Africa.
