Aquilani on the move

Liverpool flop Alberto Aquilani is on his way to Juventus in a one-year loan deal.

The £17m Italian has failed to make an impression since arriving on Merseyside a year ago and is now set to return to his homeland.

The deal is subject to the player, who has been plagued by injuries, passing a medical.

Aquilani was bought by former boss Rafa Benitez and has not figured in the plans of new manager Roy Hodgson.

He was meant to be the replacement for Xabi Alonso but failed to live up to what Benitez had hoped for.
