Arsenal striker could leave

Marouane Chamakh has admitted that he may have to consider his future at Arsenal.

The Morocco striker has found himself warming the bench and may consider a return to Bordeaux.

Chamakh arrived at Arsenal on a free in May last year after his contract expired at Bordeaux.

He had been valued at £18m but since his arrival at the Emirates he has not lived up to expectations with just 12 goals in 56 appearances.

"I am 27 and I need to play," said Chamkah. "I cannot stay like this forever. I won't leave in January, but I will take an important decision in June."

Chamakh is likely to miss most of next month's domestic fixtures due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
