Beckham Spurs bound?

David Beckham could join Tottenham later this year.

The former England captain is out of contract at LA Galaxy in November and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp admits he would like to sign the player.

Beckham has been training with Spurs during the MLS close season and at one stage looked likely to be playing at White Hart Lane on loan.

Although that loan never came off, Beckham has impressed during his time with the North Londonders.

Beckham, 36 in May, joined Galaxy from Real Madrid in July 2007, and has insisted he will never retire from the England squad.

Tottenham's Holland midfielder Rafael van der Vaart said: "David Beckham is class. No one has a right foot like Beckham. He is a world star."
